How to Use Our Mockups

Follow our step-by-step guide to using mockups in Photoshop (CS6 or newer). Don’t have it? No worries — our mockups work seamlessly with Photopea, a free, browser-based alternative that supports smart layers.

1. Open the PSD file
On the left-hand side of your Photoshop workspace, you’ll see the mockup scene organized in layers. Colored folders can be edited — we recommend leaving the locked folders as they are.

2. Layer structure
Purple folder = frame reflections
Green folder = where you’ll insert your art

3. Add your artwork
Inside the YOUR ART folder, you’ll find smart layers for each frame. Simply double-click any of them to open and place your design.

4. Drag in your design
Add your artwork, photo, or illustration into the transparent area.

5. Save and return
Once your image is positioned, press Enter, go to the top menu and click File > Save. Then close the tab and return to the main mockup tab — your artwork will now appear in the frame.

6. Repeat for additional frames
If the mockup includes more than one frame, repeat the same process for the others.

7. Optional: adjust reflections
Want to tweak the reflections? Open the purple folder, select the layer you want to refine, and adjust the opacity until it looks just right.

To fine-tune the reflection, simply adjust the opacity directly on the layer.

8. Export your file
Save your final image in your preferred format. For social media, we suggest resizing the canvas via Image > Image Size or cropping to formats like Instagram Feed or Stories.
